How fast 2008 went. I wanted to write a monthly newsletter for my newsletter but, alas, a little thing called time seems to elude me. One of my 2009 New Year’s resolutions is to regularly update my newsletter; it’s never too late to improve!
Things are clicking along at a rapid pace as usual and last year was an eclectic mix of interests and drama. These included animal husbandry (we had 3 litters of bulldog puppies), horsey pursuits (still riding my 17.2 Percheron/Thoroughbred dressage horse and have broken in several others), and family (my grand daughter Jasmine has turned 5 and starts school this year).
On the bear front: I have continued to sell bears through my usual shops and a few private commissions and although I didn’t achieve a lot of what I wanted to do with my work last year, I am hopeful that this year will be more productive. I’m off to a good start with a workshop at ‘Bear Essence’ in early February and 3 new patterns on the drawing board. I also have a listing with www.teddybearsandcritters.com which seems to be working for me so far.
No shows on the agenda at this stage but I’m open to offers and will keep you updated. I have also started making more dolls to accompany my bears and these have been well received so far. So, to coin a phrase, ‘Back to the drawing board…’ Let’s start over in 2009 and I’m really looking forward to this year being a great one!
